We provide Engaging full day Bi-lingual Quality preschool programme for children from 2 months to 6 years old.

Overview of Programmes

Our Hybrid Thematic-Project based approach curriculum
Owlets get to learn in a clean, spacious environment that encourages creativity and independence. They are nurtured to be enterprising and confident. With the holistic curriculum, Owlets can confidently navigate the future with their numeracy and literacy skills. With F.A.R (Farm in the City, Articulate with Confidence, Reduce-Reuse-Recycle) and W.I.D.E (Wise, Independent, Determined, Enterprising) as our guiding motto, we aim to let our children grow up well. Classes are spilt into Active Learning/Project Sessions and Extended Day Programmes, with huge doses of creative play and artwork in between to keep the energy levels up:
Extended Day Programme Sessions:
During Extended Day Programmes Sessions, children’s learning is further enhanced via a broad range of activities that are developed in house to support the core Active Learning sessions.

  • Home Green Science
Home Green Science consists of 3 components:
  • (a) Home – Home Economics, our little Masterchefs get to whip up cakes, cookies, sushi, mooncakes, salads and all sorts of goodies to share.

    (b) Green – Green Arts and Crafts, the use of recycle materials to construct projects and Active Learning theme-based handiwork. Our Owlets get to learn to be resourceful and save the environment at the same time.

    (c) Science – Science Projects. Owlets get to do all sort of science-based experiments. From colour changes, planting/harvesting to explosive volcanoes, our children get to learn the science that makes our work go round. Home-Green -Science will be an extension of our mini project approach both in school and at home, children bring home activity kits to be completed together with their parents. The end-product are then brought back to school for a show and tell session. During the show and tell session, children showcase their work. This boosts their confidence and they can hone their public speaking as they stand in front of the class to share their ideas and thought process of the activity.

  • Music and Movement
  • A blend of music and movement keeps the spirits up and aids our children’s linguistic and motor skills. From drums to triangles and clappers, our little Mozarts and Pavarottis get to practice their skills in school with a whole range of musical instruments.

  • Current Affairs
  • Our older Owlets get to keep abreast of current national and world affairs and get to brush up on their language skills too. Children learn to be more socially aware and discover the world around them.

  • Language Arts
Making their own rhymes, word-fishing, self-made scrabble, self designed crossword puzzles, Bingo, Word Detective, Treausre Hunt with word clues – the children literally play with their words. Owlets will learn to manipulate their words with ease.

  • Creative Arts
  • The marriage of creative art and craft with language. The children dream and design their own word games. The little fingers buzz while the children create their own version of games such as snakes and ladders, chess etc.

  • Creative Writing
  • Our older children listen to a story and then review the story – deciding if they need to change certain outcomes This is how our children learn to be great copy-writers, deciding if the story suits them else they simply rewrite the ending. Likewise children are given pictures and scenarios and they decide on the story.

  • Chinese Culture
  • Owlets get to learn culture together with their language.

Infantcare: 2 months to 18 months
Our youngest Owlets being the cutest and most pampered bunch, have the opportunity to experience our specialised Baby spa cum personalised massage for infants to enhance their senses. Our trained educators will interact with each and every infant personally during this session. According to the renowned child psychologist Erik Erickson, children between the age of 0-2 are in the stage of trust vs mistrust, hence the spa session will be the perfect opportunity to build a strong and trusting relationship with the child, this will enable them to adapt well to the school community and subsequently start their life-long learning in school. The infants also get to be involved in daily activities such as learning and playing with our very own specially curated messy play, quiet play, sensory play as well as language time! By their promotion to our Jolly Owl Playgroup, infants will be quite independent in terms of their social skills as well as self-help skills.

    Playgroup : 18months to 30months
Our youngest Owlets are always buzzing with activity. They get plenty of arts and craft, music and movement, stories, rhymes and fun project work. Our PG group get plenty of gross motor activities to hone their skills. Fruit, vegetable and recycled material printing linked to their class theme are the norm. They get to colour with crayons and brushes to hone their fine motor skills. Their gross motor skills are also tested at our indoor jungle gym as well as obstacle courses tailored to build their confidence. They learn their basic Letterland sounds and get to recognize the alphabets. Children are exposed to colours, shapes and objects in their daily life. Music and movement form a big part of their learning together with lots of story time. Do not be surprised that midway through their year, they already know how to eat by themselves.

    Nursery 1 : 30months – 3 years
Storytime and rhymes learnt in PG come into play now, the children will be more appreciative of the content. The N1 class will learn to interact and speak with their peers more. Children will start their imaginary play and role play. Children start learning to share and take turns. Children will hone their grip with crayons and art brushes with all sorts of colouring and tracing activities. Games that reinforce number-recognition, colours, shapes and letters will be used. Songs and rhymes from Letterland will be used to help children recognize the letters. Likewise they would start learning the mandarin characters and their vocabulary will be slowly increased.

    Nursery 2 : 3 years – 4 years
By now our children would have fair understanding of the basic alphabets and numbers. Their colouring skills would have been good (all within boundaries). Written exercises will be slowly introduced to this group. Children will be able to slowly learn the basic words in the songs and rhymes during Music and Movement classes. Sequencing and counting will be slow introduced to the owlets. Correct letter formations will be taught and they will be given ample opportunities to express it via brush, crayon or even pencil. The vocabulary will be built up slowly, children will start to pay attention to the words during story time. Later in the year the children will start to express themselves when given a project theme – with guidance from our teachers/facilitators.

    Kindergarten 1 : 4 years – 5 years
When the Owlets are in K1, they will start to debate with one another, exchanging ideas and expressing preference. Their linguistic skills will be bi-lingual (English and Mandarin). Project Learning will be a lively discussion now as Owlets will start to enthusiastically participate in discussions and activities. Our experienced educators merely need to set the stage for our children for the debate and the children will take charge from there. Roleplaying during class will see our children building up the confidence and communication skills. Letterland will teach children word recognition, reading and comprehension. The children’s sight words will be greatly increased now. Likewise their mandarin word recognition will be boosted as children also slowly learn to write more complex characters. Children will have a longer attention span and soak up the challenging work posed in Language Arts, Creative Arts and Current Affairs.

Our K2 Owlets will now be able to comprehend and express themselves confidently in both Mandarin and English during Project Learning sessions. They will enthusiastically speak their minds during team based problem solving. They will be able to read by themselves (bi-lingual) and work on solutions – splitting up their work and even teaching their peers. Creative Writing – where owlets are given the opportunity to create or modify a story will see interesting storylines from our budding writers. Owlets will also learn about the intricacies of rhymes and poems – even coming up with their own versions. During Current Affairs sessions, owlets will try to analyse, brainstorm and find their own answers. Maths concepts are built up for our little Owlets. Our Owlets will have regular spelling sessions. Likewise there will be (听写) and Hanyu Pinyin will be slowly introduced to our Owlets to prepare and bridge them for life in Primary 1 in the later part of the year. By now Owlets will be able to speak confidently in front of an audience. Speech and Drama sessions and Show and Tell would have built up their confidence and their ability to articulate with confidence. Our K2 graduation trip where children get to spend an eventful day outside culminating in a sleepover at school literally shows parents how independent our little owlets are. Our year end concert showcase where all our owlets from Playgroup to K2 can perform onstage will be the perfect stage for the graduating Owlets to showcase what they have learnt along the enriching and enjoyable preschool journey.
